Time Warp

Objective: Create a graphic identity for a conference, business, or organization by constructing a stationery suite system. Select two words for the company name, and construct in full color on selected stock. The system must include: folder, letterhead, envelope, and business cards.

The Time Warp Cinema Club is a movie theater located in the Art District of Asheville, North Carolina. Unlike the average theater, the Time Warp specializes in screening cult classics, hence the name of the establishment. Not only are attendees allowed to participate in the screenings, but they are encouraged to do so. The guests quote the movies, dress up as their favorite characters, and sing the songs. The Time Warp prides itself on keeping the quirky, underrated, sometimes strange movies that are cult classics alive. It celebrates cinema!

Inspiration for the Time Warp was pulled from design of the 1980's and 1990's. The type is handwritten with a "scribbled" aesthetic that is meant to represent authenticity and originality, considering most cult classics are independent. In addition to the necessary design components, perforated movie tickets and popcorn boxes were constructed to accompany the identity suite.
